There is hardly any company which could afford replacing an old telephony system by a new one in only one single step. However, new employees or a move into a new building justify the change from traditional telecommunications to network telephony.
"Migration" is the keyword, because SwyxWare can be implemented seamlessly into an existing communication infrastructure which requires enhancement. New departments can be adapted over IP telephony and can benefit from the new telephony functions which the new system brings along. Enhancing an existing system with SwyxWare is possible with almost every traditional PBX.
Reasons for enhancing a traditional PBX with IP telephony:
- New employees must be integrated into the telecommunication infrastructure. Enhancing the traditional PBX is either cost-intensive or not at all possible.
- Some employees or departments should profit from new telephony features, for instance dialling out of Microsoft Outlook or any customer data base, voicemail, automatic call handling or call center functions.
- IP telephony is supposed to be implemented in a company's infrastructure.
- For the traditional PBX exist long-term leasing contracts.
